AI is Making SEO Essential

A lot of SEO agencies are freaking out at the moment in regards to the speed in which AI is evolving. Many people in the industry are thinking they’ll be out of a job soon as the AI programs claim they can do SEO. I cannot predict the future but now there’s no need to worry so much.

I’ve seen many websites created with AI. Most of them don’t even rank. Nine out of ten customers that have come to us because they’ve lost all their rankings due to their previous SEO company using software such as ChatGPT to create all their website content. What are you guys (the agencies) doing? Getting rid of your content writers to save some money and then losing your customers rankings? You should be sued! Remove the AI generated content. Anyway, with the rise of all this AI stuff, we need to evolve now in how we do things or be left behind.

Many consumers are now turning to, for example, ChatGPT and Gemini, to search for information, products, and services. So, how do you get your business found in AI search? Does that mean you should forget about doing SEO? No way!

SEO is now more important than ever before. All these language learning models, such as ChatGPT, look for a website with quality and original content, well-optimized URL structure, good quality images that are not large in size, fast-loading mobile and responsive websites, mentions from other webpages speaking about similar topics, relevant schema added to the website and so on. These are all the things that should be done as part of your SEO marketing campaign anyway.

So, whoever says SEO companies are going to go bust simply don’t really know how to do SEO, which I’ve seen in just about every customer that comes to us from other agencies. But, as I said before, who really knows what the future will hold? For now, just keep on doing SEO the right way and you’ll be fine.
